Hi,

we have a problem with CubeNode ETH. The configuration is almost default: fixed IP-adresses at 192.168.144.14 und 15. There are two TCP servers and an UDP server configured. Everything works fine on the lab desk when the CubeNode ETH is connected to a standard Cube Orange+ (at temperatures between 70° and 80°C). But as soon as we connect it to the Cube Orange+ in our target HW (free air circulation), the CubeNode is getting quite hot (up to 100°C MCU temp.) and it stops operation sometimes after less than one hour. It should be mentioned that a breakout board is used there with separate power supply for peripherals connected to it. Voltage level seems to be perfect @5.1 V. Other peripherals work well with the Breakout Board (LW20/C; HereFlow) and the autopilot.

When the CubeNode stops working, it does not respond on both IP-addresses any longer. Connecting Mission Planner to the CubeNode using CAN MP shows MAINTENANCE Mode and SW-Version 2.0 (before: Mode OPERATIONAL; Version 1.93)

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Walter

We have now tested another product: [PPP Serial zu Ethernet | UAV-DEV GmbH Documentation](https://wiki.uav-dev.com/de/product/ethernet/serial2ethernet)

That works fine so far. We still have no idea why CubeNode ETH is getting so hot and dies very quickly. Both products draw approximately the same current.
