I just bought a new set.
Upgraded after first power on.
After the upgrade completed, I found it to be extremely unstable.
It crashes in “random” places/activities. sometimes with graphical artifacts, mostly not, freezing or rebooting.
I requested GetFPV for help a day ago, still waiting for response. Will require a return shipping label.
I would also like some support and detailed instructions on how to try to reflash.
Given the many different ways it crashes, I believe it is a hardware issue.
You have to start with controller off, then long press on power button + D button simultaneouly untill the fastboot screen shows up. Then launch the script provided, and the update would start shortly.
Unable to switch the device on, when connected to USB/charger it blinks red with a period of 1s. (critical low battery) - apparently it discharged itself since last test.
After charging for a while, it could be started in Fastboot mode.
Ran the upgrade tool, which fetched remoteunit-FRU01240530.tar.gz
This loaded an old version, and once the controller started, it found an update. (just like when I unpacked it for the first time)
it is now downloading version “RU01240301”…
So far - the controller at least seems stable.
After installing the update, it started crashing again. crashed on boot, so I saw the splashscreen more than once, crashed during pairing, I can at any time make a video of it crashing/rebooting/turning off more than 5 times in 5 minutes.
What is the firmware version on your Herelink . Does it support both HDMI ports. Kindly advice the version number on the Herelink and the Air unit to understand which version is unstable
@sibujacob as described above, it is unstable when running firmware RU01240301 - the version supplied (also mentioned above)
Hardware is v “1.1” - with 2x HDMI and ethernet on the airside, I did not got to check if it/both works as it is failing way before I get that far.
I asked GetFPV to facilitate a return on the 14 Feb, then nagged the 18’th. With no result.
CubePilot : can you help me out directly? maybe we’ll get this up and running and tested before next project.
