Herelink Micro-USB Communication

Hello guys,

We are a UAV team preparing for a competition. For transmitting video from our camera in the air, we use a Herelink V1.1.

This year, we noticed our controller’s battery was draining very fast (it is a bit old). Consequently, we replaced the original battery with one of our available “small” Li-Po batteries that we use for our UAVs. It is working great, and the device can now stay on for a long time. However, when we try to connect the controller to a router via an Ethernet-to-Micro USB adapter, it doesn’t work at all.

We suspect that the battery replacement might be the source of this issue. We have tried several cables, adapters, and devices. For instance, even our PCs cannot detect whether the device is connected or not; a simple Micro USB to USB communication is not possible.

Technicians are literally avoiding us instead of helping us fix it, though I’m not sure why. One technician finally agreed to test the device and said the socket itself is not the issue, but that it is likely caused by the BQ24756 (or BQ series) charge component, though he isn’t certain.

We also explored the Android OS and developer options on the Herelink controller, but nothing changed. We’d appreciate any help. Thanks a lot!

Connect to the controller to use adb shell and see what happens when you connect an OTG cable with something more likely to be compatible with any Android device, like a thumbdrive.
