Hi everyone,
I’m working with Airspection, a company specializing in providing reliable and safe drone services for hard-to-reach infrastructure. We’re currently developing a BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) drone and are in the process of evaluating RTK GNSS devices for our system.
The Here4 caught our attention as it seems like a great option. However, I noticed that it can also function as a flight computer, which raised a few questions for me:
-
Is it possible to use the Here4 solely as an RTK GNSS device without utilizing its flight controller, as we already have our own flight and mission computers in place?
-
Alternatively, could we use the Here4’s flight controller as a secondary or backup flight computer for redundancy purposes?
Additionally, I came across the Here3+, which has fewer concurrent GNSS constellations but appears to be in a similar price range to the Here4. Could you explain the main differences between the two, and which would be more suitable for BVLOS offshore applications?
I appreciate your insights and advice. Thanks in advance for your assistance!
Best regards,
Kostas
