Air unit will not enter pairing mode

I have a brand new Herelink system in which the air unit will not enter pairing mode. The unit is powered with 12V and LED2 turns on after boot. When I attempt to depress the Pair button for 3-5 seconds, not only is there no tactile “click” sensation, but LED2 does not start flashing. The remote unit remains in pairing mode and does not see the air unit.

I’ve updated both the air and remote units to the latest firmware. Is there any way to cause the air unit to pair other than the Pair/Reset button, such as a software command over the USB port, or do I need to get an RMA?

I would return as it sounds like a bad button. I’m not aware of any other way to pair.
