Connect qgc on herelink via tethering

Dear all,

I want to connect qgc on herelink to my ipad running mavsdk-swift using usb tethering. Is this possible? On the herelink network all works well and I can connect to “udp://:14550”. It recognizes the attached autopilot, however this doesn’t work for usb tethering.

I set up a communication link in qgc using the ip of the ipad and listeningport 14551 and try connecting via “udp://:14551”. See method 2 here. While it does recognize a system, it cannot connect.

Do people have experience with this? Is a wireless connection to the hotspot reliable?
