one PWM output was dead on a new Cube Orange+
I unscrewed the cube from the carrier, measured the connection thru the carrier board, reinstalled the screw and the PWM was fine.
However: three of the four 20mm 1.5mm screws does not enter properly, and are too hard to screw in. What’s the trick?
I’m not sure there is a trick, just go slowly @philip any ideas?
If they are not easy to do with your fingers, then they are cross threaded…
Wind them out till you hear a click… sometimes if you wind backwards you will hear a click click rather than a single click… between these two clicks is where you want to start tightening by fingers… it should be easy…
Don’t tighten one until all screws are in place and threads started.
This applies to most things mechanical
thanks for all the advise, but I am not a noob at making at simple 2mm screw enter its threads. something odd happened here. I have no torque driver for this load range, but something is definitely wrong with this one, screws enter, rotate for a short while, then bend (due to twisting force) rather than continue in. A paperclip proves there is a 1mm opening all the way in, just not for the screw. I replaced the cube and carrier due to the failure described in the first post.
A couple of years ago I had the same issue. Contact your distributor they should be able to assist.
