CubeNode ETH with MicoAir FC

Has anyone try connecting the MicoAir743v2-AIO-45A with CubeNode ETH? We intend to interface the drone with airMAX NanoStation 5AC Loco. Is the CAN-bus a mandatory interface from the flight controller mandatory?

Am I correct to say the CAN-bus interface is for setting up to the CubeNode ETH?

the CAN Interface is only required for configuration. It is important that your Flight Controller supports PPP.
