DJI MG frame style oscillating

Hi,
I have a large DJI MG style octocopter where there is 4 main booms that split into 8 sub booms. There is an oscillation problem on each main boom where they are quickly rocking back and forth. Any ideas on how to tune this out? Ive already tried to ATC_RAT_D and also ACT_RAT_P It didnt seem to work.

Hi have you tried adding any filtering? Look into harmonic notch filters, especially if you have ESC telemetry available for RPM information.

It will come down to stiffness of the frame.
If you manage to soften the tuning so much that the arms dont vibrate, you’ll find the copter also wont be able to respond to any disturbances or properly control attitude - essentially being useless.
