I’m doing some work again with a SIYI gimbal/camera and my HereLink V1.1.
I connect the camera to the ethernet connection on the HereLink air unit. This works great!
However with the SIYI camera connected with ethernet to the HereLink air unit, it requires using SIYI apps on the HereLink ground unit. I’ve haven’t been able to get the RTSP stream from the camera to work on the Qgroundcontrol that comes pre-installed on the HereLink. The RTSP stream address is RTSP://192.168.144.25:8554/main.264
This OK - as the SIYI apps work fine.
My problem is with Mission Planner that’s tethered to the HereLink ground unit - either via USB or via WiFi. The MavLink connection works fine - giving Mission Planner proper telemetry. However I can’t figure out how to access the RTSP data stream to display the video feed on the tethered PC running Mission Planner.
If the camera is connected to the HereLink air unit via HDMI cable, then the tethered Mission Planner does display the video feed properly.
There’s very little published about this - in fact the only documentation I’ve come across for accessing the camera’s video stream from a camera connected via ethernet to the air unit is a series of YouTube videos published by World Drone Market.
If anyone has any advice or suggestions about this, I’d greatly appreciate it.
I’ve tried all the possible tethering options - USB cable, HereLink ground unit hotspot, and HereLink ground unit and PC on the same wifi netowrk.
Many Thanks!
