Herelink v1.1 Screen Freeze Issue

Hi,
Is it possible for you to give any expected timeline for this issue fixture?

The reason I am asking this is that because of this issue, I literally have 2 of my drones costing USD 16000 (no joke, dead serious) just lying and waiting since 1 month for their first flight.

Please think from my perspective:
Those drones were supposed to be delivered to my client by now. It’s every day that I have to convince people that the issue is not on my side! My name is being ruined without me doing anything wrong!

Was the only problem that I had that I trusted the herelink system?

I don’t understand if the issue is identified and under investigation, then why isn’t there any hold on the sales of the herelink v1.1 till the issue is resolved? Why is the buggy system still on sale? Are you guys waiting for someone to crash their vehicles because of your ā€œquality productā€?

Request you to please fast-forward it. Cubepilot has been a pioneer in drone products, and I am also trying my best to have faith in you. But for how long?

Is it possible that I can replace my two Herelink v1.1 units with the v1.0 units with my reseller and get the difference in price back?
Me and my client are really suffering due to this issue as all the planned deadlines are getting exceeded now.
Please suggest to us what to do meanwhile you continue with your ā€œinvestigationā€.

I am a client looking for the delivery of drones with Herelink v1.1.
The delivery of our drones from our supplier is delayed solely due to this freeze issue. Our research deadlines are getting affected due to this delay. It is also affecting our financials also.
It is really surprising as to why Cubepilot is not recalling Herelink v1.1 after acknowledging that there is a freeze issue with it.
I urge the Cubepilot management to recall the product v1.1 so that the customers do not suffer anymore.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone have a Herelink 1.1 that works? For now, at least I’ve got a 1.0 working : )

I don’t think that anyone has a 100% fine herelink v1.1.
Even the product developers don’t have it, as the issue is recreated at their end too.

My Herelink v1.0 from 2020 still works fine. I don’t know what kind of upgrade is this.

I think that many people having v1.1 haven’t discovered the issue yet, or are just somehow dealing with it. What’s more sad is that we are just left hanging for almost 1 month now, and have no option but to just wait in ā€œhopeā€ that it will get resolved :frowning:

No one is talking about the elephant in the room, the new screen. That is one of the primary HW changes from 1.0 to 1.1 correct? Lower the brightness down to 500nits and make sure its consistent across all test. Unless there are new chips for the 1.1 screen.

I’ve not experienced the issue again or I would have posted logs, etc. I have had to restart QGC but haven’t had any lock-ups or other issues. Flights all the time with no issues. I know there is an issue I just haven’t run into it anymore. I only run QGC, the configuration/settings apps, and the SIYI FPV app.

The only ā€œproblemā€ I’ve run into is once the screen started to have a serious issue on the left-most segment (maybe 6-12mm from edge) when it was 100 degrees outside and it got hot. No repeats of that issue either.

There’s a firmware update from Cubepilot. Please update your air units and ground units to lastest firmware.

I haven’t done much testing but with my basic trials, I haven’t seen this issue come up again on QGC.
I have permanent given up trying Solex.
