Just got a couple of 650EDU to assemble and realized the following.
Around the lower and upper plate of the frame, there is a series of holes on the bottom (and top plate) that by first glance seemed ideal to add some standoffs in order to make the frame slightly more rigit for the items i wanted to install only to realize that they are offset by almost 1.5-2mm.
@philip was this intentional on the design?
i’d need pictures to know what you mean
The Standoffs have have been screwed in the original holes at the bottom plate, when installing the top plate they dont align with the holes on top. Tested every possible orientation of the top plate besides the factory, but nothing. i had to cut the holes to make the standoffs be able to take M3 screws from the top side.
I don’t believe that is the purpose of those holes.
Understood, but it would could easily be in order to firm up the frame more if one wanted and production-wise would also make things alot easier if both top and bottom aligned.
