How to update QGC on Herelink?

I have installed and updated Herelink 1.1 - and it still has ancient QGC from 2022 . - on attempt to install .apk of daily build, it complains that another package with the same name is installed. How are people expected to update software?
I guess same question applies to MP, are further software releases for HereLink abandoned?

Is this how you did it? Installing QGC | CubePilot

No, I used a SD card and I believe the “file downloader” (or similar name) offered to install .apk. (but it failed due to same package name)

I can use adb, no problem - then I can remove the old version as well.
So I take there are no automated updates/no more recent builds/updates for the device. Is HereLink development abandoned?

No it is actively being worked on. The latest release is right here

If you want to do things on Herelink, I’d strongly recommend following the well laid out instructions.

Development on Herelink continues as it always has…

But if you’re expecting an update of android, then you will be disappointed as chips that support newer versions of android can’t do what herelink does.

Thanks, yes, Google has been removing useful features from Android lately. that’s unfortunate.

I am trying to use current or even self-built .apk on Herelink. Unfortunately I get “error binding UDP port The bound address is already in use” error by using normal QGC.

Please update Releases · CubePilot/qgroundcontrol-herelink · GitHub it is currently 4 months outdated compared to even the stable release of QGC - not to mention that a lot of good things is done with QGC inbetween releases.

What are the customizations you have in the “herelink” build? - this should really be a build target right in the QGC project.

Please update your build and add a daily/weekly auto-build.
