How to use GPS1 port with NMEA protocol?

Hello,

I use external GNSS device.

The device exports NMEA outputs to GPS1 Port, such as gga, rmc, and pashr at the TTL level.

So I setup the cube orange’s configure as below.

Setup:
GPS_TYPE: 5
GPS_SBP_LOGMASK: -256 (I don’t understand this option and I don’t test -1 or 0)
GPS_GNSS_MODE: 0
GPS_RATE_MS: 200
SERIAL3_PROTOCOL: 5
SERIAL3_BAUD: 115

But there is no response.

I want to know how to link Cube Orange and NMEA.

May I know what firmware and which version did you use ?
Can you check the baudrate with the GPS manufacture ?

F/W version is 4.3.1
External GNSS is PIM222a from NovAtel and baudrate is 115200.

Can you try 4.4.0 or change gps type to 24 (maybe both)?

What is the gps status you see in the mission planner…GPS:NO GPS or GPS : No FIX

Have you seen mission planner message tap to see the gps is detected by flight controller at 115 baudrate and protocol as NMEA?

Sry. It has been solved. We didn’t put in GPRMC.
