Optical Zoom Control via GPIO

Hi,

I am currently trying to integrate a zoom camera setup with Cube Black and HereLink.
The camera has an external interface board which has a GPIO port, with two separate pins allowing for Zoom in and out respectively.
I wanted to check if there is a way we can control the zoom via the Cube/HereLink architecture?

From what I have read so far, two AUX (5 & 6) can be configured as Relays and be used to activate the GPIO pins on the interface board.
Can someone confirm if it is possible?
If yes, a little help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

according to the ardupilot wiki this should work
