Hi everyone.
When I connect CubeOrange with a laptop using a USB cable, first the amber LED blinks rapidly and then choosing the connect option on GCS, here Mission Planner, the MavLink connection is formed and the LED shuts off. However, after a few seconds the connection gets terminated on its own and the amber LED starts glowing continuous without blinking. Does anyone have any idea what does the continuous amber LED status means?
May I ask if this happens with a specific firmware? Or is this your first time plugging this in to your pc? Does this happens everytime you plug the cube orange+ in and connect to Mission Planner or QGC?
Firmware I have flashed and re-installed many times updating bootloader, and also did with SD card to try every possibility. The last two were Arducopter and ArduPlane 4.5.6 Stable. Also this not my first time plugging cube orange to this pc. I have got many cube orange+ and also switched the USB cable three times. The connection gets terminated every time I connect it with my laptop, after 20-30 seconds or 1 minute.
May I have your “Messages” from Mission Planner and your full parameters? And also, does this happens on only one cube or all of them?
To not delay my test flight date, I started using another cube so will share the messages and full parameters soon after getting back to lab later. Although do you know what that LED status means by any chance? Cause whenever the cube got disconnected, the LED started glowing continuously every time, and it doesn’t normally.
Also yes, it only happened with that one cube and not the rest.
The continuous orange light looks like it’s stuck in the bootloader mode. Do you use the same carrier board or seperate ones?
I tried using a different carrier board with the same cube orange+. The problem still occurred, with the LED on continuously. I am using the new cube with the same carrier board, and it is functioning well.
If the cube is getting stuck in bootloader mode, what could be the best solution to rectify that?
Keep an eye on the new cube with the same carrier board and please provide the log on Mission Planner
Might be better to try open the case and erase the chip with a jlink connector (have to solder some wires together according to the map). Or maybe contact your reseller.
