Power Selection Module in Designing a Carrier Board

Hello,
I am the Electrical Lead of a student aerospace team. We are designing a custom carrier board for our Pixcube Orange and was wondering a few things:

  1. Is there any guides or checklists to determine if we are accounting for everything necessary when designing the carrier board? We are currently using the original carrier board as a guide but I am worried to potentially miss an important element
  2. How necessary is the Power Selection Module and is there a schematic or guide for integrating it onto new designs.

Thank you in advance

Looks like a fun project to redesign a redundant power supply, why take the fun and $50. Its got 2 or 3 inputs and a whole lot more outputs and some logic. Some stuff to make it redundant, fail gracefully etc.

Loadsharing would be a cool feature and also canbus configurability of how it fails + maybe voltage adj oc/ov limit adjust. Cool chance to test out the new TI MagPack modules

Me… id probably buy the thing from irlock if I only had one or two, maybe scour ebay for carrier boards to pull the module from

We have a few dead pixcubes to salvage the PSM from, and if we had a bit more budget, I would take on the challange as well. My question is more about the pinout diagram of the PSM module. Couldn’t find it anywhere

Hi,

Have a look at this page you have most of function noted on the silk screen.
There are few other documents in the same directory that would help a lot
