POWER2 port sparked on Pixhawk Orange Cube+

Hello!
The issue arised when the Pixhawk was already powered from a 5v BEC through POWER1 port. Another power cable which was connected to a Power Brick Mini module, was inserted into POWER2 port and the port began to spark. Both cables were tested and verified for 5v output beforehand.

The metal contacts specifically for GND pins on the POWER2 port are slightly burnt, but are present and show connectivity with eachother. The other power port, serial ports and the Pixhawk itself are working normally.

Has anyone faced this issue? Is it safe to supply backup power supply from the port again?

You must have the wiring wrong.
Got any photos of the connectors?
And chances are your BEC wasnt able to correctly handle a short circuit (reverse polarity load) and just pumped in all available current.

Hey Shawn, the wiring was triple checked before connecting, for it’s polarity and voltage output. I do not have an image but we were using standard pixhawk cube power cables.
