SB_0000002 Critical service bulletin for Cubes Purchased between January 2019 to July 2019. DO NOT FLY

Hello, Sumit,

Please contact Gadget first for the RMA. We will have to check your product first. If we find the SB problem, we will replace for you.

You told me you had returned it and they repaired it.

Now you say you didn’t RMA it?

I have just asked you whether in the process of RMA you have replaced it or repaired it,because I got my old cube back but then you asked me to send the barcode and then Eric_Xie told me to send the cube back to the seller and I did it and I hope that it will be delivered to the seller today. Thanks

Can you confirm that you already sent this back to your reseller? And that it got returned to you already? And that it still had the issue?

I am very confused now as to what happened

Yes I already sent it back in 2019 and then got it back after getting repaired but after reading the above posts I saw that you have asked many people to get there cube replaced, that’s why I have asked you whether the cube which I got back was safe to fly and sent you the barcode to check whether it has gone through all the safety checks

I already asked you that does my cube gone through RMA by checking the barcode but Eric told me to contact seller so I thought that may be there is any problem and I again sent it back to seller and seller after checking told me to give a replacement.Sorry if I am causing any trouble to you

Hi I have strange behavior of one my Cube black when I connect to Mission Planner by 868 UX modem I get:
ā€œYour board has a Critical service bulletin please see…dead link" If I connect by USB I don’t get any problem. All settings are correct like in first post. How can I check is there a problem? I think I bought this Cube Black around 02-03 2018.

@Michael_Oborne ? Any reason it could detect different on telem vs USB?

What is more interesting that If I change SERIAL2_PROTOCOL from 2 to 1 I don’t get this alert. On USB SERIAL0 there is PROTOCOL:2 and there I don’t get this alert. So it apears on Mavlink v2 but not on Mavlink v1

Also by standard SIK telemetry I get this alert.

@Michael_Oborne @philip can I fly safely with this Cube Black that’s false-positive alert ?

if via usb you dont get the error. then yes its safe to fly.

seems like the issue is comms related. and nothing to do with the cube

im looking into improving the test in this setup

My problem with alert is solved. I changed Micro SD card in Cube Black and I don’t get strange warning messages. I think the card was faulty. Everything works ok when I am connected by RFD 868 and USB. Thanks for help.

that is interesting, as we have had quite a number of false positives, I would always prefer to err on the side of caution, so thanks for your reports on this.

I updated one of my Cube Blacks from 4.07 to 4.1.5 I noticed that EK3_IMU_MASK is set to 3 not to 7. Maybe this parameter should be corrected automatically with firmware update on Cube Blacks ?
