USB not recognised problem with Cube!

Hi!

My drone crashed some days back and then all the problem started.
I can’t able to connect my cube to the system. It always says, USB not recognised (Device descriptor failed). And after 5 seconds, it automatically disconnects.

There is no any physical damage to the board or IMU. When connected, the LED in cube is always in SOLID RED color.

I have uninstalled driver, updated and done tons of methods and even formatted the SD card, and still the problem persists.

Is there any solution for this? I haven’t tried with ST link as it was hard to find the male connector which connects to SWD.

Please let me know if any solution is there.

How can you tell unless you opened the Cube?

When connected, the LED in cube is always in SOLID RED color.

Solid Red indicates a hardware error.

You may have gotten it stuck in the bootloader. Test this by disconnecting any devices you have attached to the Cube and then try loading new firmware.

If it doesn’t then the autopilot was damaged in the crash

Hi @CraigElder,

Yes, I just opened the casing and saw that there was no
any damage.

I also tried removing all the devices. Still the Cube is not recognised in the system.

I tried with different computers and also with different cable, same issue.

That confirms it was damaged in the crash and possibly the subsequent disassembly.

So, the only way is to replace the controller? Or can it be serviced by the authorized service center? If so, please provide me the details.

Thanks in advance.

It is unlikely that it is economical to repair the unit.

As a last resort, try booting up the Cube without the SDCard
