Xbox controller sticks not sending commands

I have cube purple and cube orange both set up as seperate rovers utilizing herelink.

I am trying to get further range utilizing RF. As a proof of concept i am using RFD 900x.

I can connect to my rover and send arm/disarm commands using the bumper buttons on an xbox controller but unable to use the joysticks for throttle and steering.

I can see the joysticks moving after calibration under joystick set up. Both in mission planner and QGC.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
