Anyone here that did it easily? Trying to get the Here4 to become an FC. I followed all the steps but I get stuck at the upload via UART part and I’d like to know what am I doing wrong.
Old cube black finds Here4 and checked that Fw is the latest, as also it shows bootloader is also the latest. Unplug the CAN from from the Here4, plug in the UART wires and connect to the included companion board, connect on the UART and UART to USB converter (tried 2 different ones and yes both work since I tested them on other devices) but as soon as I plug a USB cable the Here4 breathes a few times and then start breathing RED only and Mission planner does not find it plugged in. Switch can to can and connect on a cube and boots fine. I even tested powering from a cube and connected to the board the Cube PM just to keep it running, unplugged the cube completely, plugged the UART and again the same. @Chris_Sim did that just now, but then i tested again a multitude of UART converters but was not able to burn arduplane 4.6.3 on it. As i said before im sure i am doing something wrong, but originally i followed the steps from Here4 Docs. This time i connected via a cube, did flashbootloader = 1,write. then flash BL from ArduPilot firmware : /Tools/Bootloaders using here4fc and it stayed on maintenance mode. Now i am testing to change it back to Here4 firmware, since with those steps all parameters where lost and on the fimrware update page i would get a message that no board was found even though i was on the correct port and tested both 57600 and 115200
oddly enough, maintanace mode is correct, the unit should also show white breathing led.
if so, there was another thread that mention it might not detect the board, and from the same droneCAN ui, will have to “update/flash" the here4FC apj or something similar
