Hello CubePilot Support,
We’re a team developing a VTOL platform and primarily use your Here3+ GPS. We flew one airframe in 32 °C ambient conditions for about 3 hours 20 minutes per flight, and repeated this on five separate days (one flight per day).
During the initial 10–20 minute flights, the compass status was excellent. However, after conducting several long-duration flight tests in the hot weather, the compass status became noticeably worse. Could this degradation be due to the high temperature, the cumulative long flight time, or something else?
System details
- Firmware: ArduPilot ArduPlane 4.4.4
- Flight controller: CubeOrange / CubeOrange+
- Compass: external only (internal compass disabled)
