Here4 not connecting to FC via I2C

I cannot get the Here4 GPS to be recognized by a CAN-less flight controller. Here is my setup:

FC: Flywoo Goku GN745
GPS: Here4
Autopilot Firmware: ArduCopter V4.6.2 (1ebd4d99) ChibiOS: 88b84600 FlywooF745 003F0032 31315113 30353935
Here4 HW Version: 4.19
Here4 SW Version: 1.156C3DC6B5 SRC: 918E07B671E79358

GPS is connected to SERIAL6, 115200 baud. The I2C connection successfully interfaces with the Here4’s LEDs and other I2C components.

I have verified that a cheap mateksys GPS does in fact work in this configuration, hopefully ruling out any potential issues with the FC itself. I have also tried connecting the GPS to SERIAL3, which features TX and RX DMA. But no joy on that either.

Frustrating that a $20 GPS works out of the box, but the $225 GPS is many hours of debugging headache. Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you!!

Hello, I’ve got pretty same result:

I have a project that does in fact require UART GPS, and does not have CAN.

I specifically bought here4 because it has UART output.

But, the system doesn’t seem to work via UART - and it’s frustrating me a lot.

I’ve connected to the UART pins via Putty, but instead I’ve got only a short string with info about magnetometer - and nothing else.

How to get it up and running?

Thanks
