Unable to get Air Unit OTA completed

STUCK FOR OVER A WEEK ON THIS AND OTHER PROBLEMS TRYING TO GET HERELINK UPDATED

After receiving my herelink, i did the following:

UPDATE GROUND UNIT: COMPLETE

  1. Ensured that the IP address Im using was not within the blocked range.
  2. Ensured the time and region was set properly.
  3. Ensured the google driver was installed on my PC.
  4. Was able to download the latest firmware and the ground unit boots
with Solex and QGC installed as apps.

LOAD FIRMWARE ON AIR UNIT: COMPLETE

  1. Ensured that the IP address Im using was not within the blocked range.
  2. Ensured the time and region was set properly.
  3. Ensured the google driver was installed on my PC.
  4. Loaded the flasher program on my PC. Flashing appeared to proceed properly.

PAIR THE GROUND UNIT: COMPLETE

  1. Went into the CXXXXX and proceeded to pair the ground unit to the air unit.
  2. Pairing result was successful.

UPDATE THE AIR UNIT OTA: STUCK!!!

  1. Using the equivalent PC, power, and wifi links from the previous steps, I
went into the SYSTEM UPDATES SCREEN to do an OTA update of the Air Unit. I was asked for the
serial number of the unit which I had prevously provided, and when I typed it in the unit provided
an error telling me: “The server is not reachable, please check your connection”.
The wifi connection on both my PC and on my Herelink were still functional, unchanged,
and within the acceptable IP* addressing provided by cubepilot. This wifi link worked for
the previous steps with no such error. I AM STUCK. PLEASE HELP!!! I honestly dont know
what else I can try at this point. Any help would be appreciated.

can you list the current reported version numbers on the GCS unit and AIR unit?

most of what you done looks good.
one thing i will add is try open herelink settings > air unit > update this app.
then try the air unit update again, clicking left to right through the buttons.

Thank you very much for your reply Micheal. Interestingly, the strategy
which you requested of:

“try open herelink settings > air unit > update this app”

This strategy I tried multiple times and it didn’t work but is
now working with all settings unchanged. It appeared to update
the air unit firmware via OTA and the final version numbers I
landed on are (please note that pairing exists):

Radio:
OEM build number bru01211104
build number N2G47J

Air Unit:
Local version AAU01211129
Onliine version AAU01211129

Please indicate if these are final and compatible builds. Thank you for your help!!!

yes, both those number look fine, thats the current stable release.

now given the numbers you just quoted, why do you think the air unit is not UpToDate?
ie
Local version AAU01211129
Online version AAU01211129
are the same, so its at the newest version.

Thanks Micheal as of yesterday before your instructions on the update strategy, the unit was for some reason not allowing me to do the ota update. However the sequence worked today and I quoted you the newly installed builds.
Happy to have a properly updated unit. Thank you for your assistance.

I’m trying as you said, and the download and upload buttons in airunit turn gray (letters are not highlighted) after updating the program.

online version:aau01211129
local version:AU01230714
How do I update airuni?

When updating via usb, the flesher program starts and closes. There is no download lane.
The driver was installed on the computer, since I updated the ground station via the computer and everything was good and

Im having the exact same issue with the online version and local version. when i update the air unit after i have downloaded and transferred it updates air unit to 9% small pause… then straight to 100% Done and it did not even update!
