Herelink sbus out not working after latest system update

Ok, I will
Thank you

I’m really losing patience !!!

I don’t know if I will continue by purchasing Herelink, unnecessarily complicated, unclear things, the result of old and new soups

I have 2 RC Herelink 1.0 + 2 Airunit (1 of which is Ver. 1.1)

I have been trying to upgrade for days now; I read a mountain of threads that say everything and deny everything

I tried to update with PC, without PC, with OTA, with Kitchenaid food processor, with microwave … in short … you cannot update anything !!! … Furthermore, the versions are also unclear. … for example … the aau01211129 is older than the auo1220917 ??
Why doesn’t there be a repository where there are all the updated versions with the date? Wouldn’t it be less complicated?
Why does the update link via PC refers me to a flasher_win containing a source to be installed both on RC and then on Air Unit and then inexplicably no longer goes well because you have to load from OTA?

These things hurt your customers !!!

It is really not possible to lose 3 days for an update

SITUATION:

At the moment I reset everything (again) … I upgrade Herelink with beta … I’m upgraded air unit via ota … download firmware ok … transfer to air unit is 67% after 4 hours and the Router 5GHz is 2 meters from the laboratory desk with optical fiber connection

Then I already know that even if updated, I will have telemetry but not the RC commands and I don’t know why they have disappeared

Do you have info about it? Please … don’t let me leave Herelink that I appreciate it but I don’t like these jokes.
You must think that we are not all people who have time to lose and that among many hobbyists there are also someone (many) who use it for work and on which their earnings is based to feed the respective families.
You have to simplify, don’t complicate !!!

I too dont understand why for a small radio telemetry we have so much of circus going around.
Also to add more frustration, they are marketing here Ardupilot firmware rather than appreciating the two widely used Autopilot firmwares in the world !! :grinning:

My frustration increases because I have two RC Herelink (over 2000 € of cost) that I can’t update and it seems that it is not even possible to make a factory reset (if not Android … but not the air unit)

I’m really frustrated … no solution around?

Anyone who managed to manage the upgrade?

The product is popular …But i dont know how people are getting around with all these silly factors …It is possible that the controller requires a higher standard of technical understanding including customizing the controller with a version of QGC using QT software !! :grinning: Can you see the Solex software on your main Android screen …You can try opening that to verify the functionality of the Herelink but better remove the props before enabling it if you are not sure of flying … Here is a clip from my Herelink …Quad Test HJX640 - YouTube

HI Jacob

Until a few months ago, both with the old Herelink and with the new ones, simply download Flasher_win and if you were satisfied with the version, everything worked

Now is it possible that he can’t upgrade 2 RC?

Is it possible that no one who is reading messages can give a definitive solution?

And you are asking for it, yes … I read the procedure on “Support” of Cubepilot but it is completely useless!

(View video … nice test :-))

I actually did the normal update reading this forum…There is no knowledge beyond this forum that I have read …I would also recommend if you could join the Blue robotics forum…there are incredible guys who give good advice …

Thank you for your kindness. I will

Same situation, no Sbus everything else works fine.
Different versions of GS and air unit.

What is the version of Gcs .

My GS version is HX4-06075

So you are not using herelink

I cannot use it right now, but remote is from herelink.

What is the version of Herelink hardware . Is it the old one or the new one .

The solution:

Thank’s to Michael_Oborne

I didn’t understand you at once
"please factory reset the air unit.
if your on beta, please use
“flasher_win.exe beta”

Added word " beta" to Object in desctop tag Properties.

Had little problem with launchig “flasher_win.exe beta”, but it works fine after second try on my computer.

i have the same problem, but can never get the air unit to download the beta AU01230714 version, stays stuck on AAU01211129. This is exceptionally frustrating.

there are rules for the wifi connection, are you meeting those?

I have tried using in office 5.8 and a mobile hotspot running 5.8 and 2.4…It does not update the air unit.

Here is what the HCU has, the download Airfirmware is greyed out and cannot be selected.

I also tried to update the air unit using the Flasher_win.exe (could not find beta version as illuded to in other posts) so it only updates to the AAU firmware version.

I believe there are ip address requirements that must be met.

@Michael_Oborne Can you advise any other steps to solve this?

Hi,
I think your issue is indicated in post from @biorobat quoting Michael _Oborne
Mismatched firmware cannot talk between the hardware components. Therefore suggested solution is manually update the Herelink unit to the latest beta firmware and Airlink unit to the latest beta firmware. From the current screenshot, you possibly may have mismatched versions of the firmware in place.
What is the QGC version installed on your Herelink controller unit.
